has Novak looked around when in church lately. the place is empty yet the inactive still call themselves catholic or Baptist etc. Most today do not attend weekly services, pretty much what is happening around the world.

Marriage has been destroyed through divorce the rate is now around 50%. People no longer judge divorce as a problem and may feel it helps more by letting people out of a bad situation and bad for the children if the marriage is really ugly.

Dobson is a dinosaur.

Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis recently said he would refuse Holy Communion to Giuliani because of his position on abortion. didn't he say the same thing about Kerry? Of course he should represent his beliefs. I would expect nothing less from other priests and bishops.. Only some didn't take the same position as Burke , like the washington d.c. cardinal.

Let's put abortion, gay marriage, divorce aside and discuss issues that we judge the positions on economics, security.

I keep reading these hand wringing articles about how the social conservatives are going to usher in the age of Hillary with their stubbornness. Odd thing is, Rudy doesn't seem to share these fears. He hasn't raised a finger to court them or even acknowledge them. Just the opposite. If he doesn't care why should we?

That does not fully explain the strong support for him by practicing Catholics. Giuliani says he was raised as a Catholic but declines to say whether he practices the religion today.

Isn't Novak a Catholic? He should know that if you get a divorce they kick you out of the Church. The Lutheran Church is full of 'em.
