I'll set up a group of investors to "buy" my house for $1 million, even though it's worth 500K. 'Cause then I can borrow off the extra 500K I report in equity, right?

I'll still own it, and I'll "buy it back" in awhile when it's worth $1 million again - I mean, that couldn't take too long could it?

Hi elmat - None of the 75 or 100 Billion will buy sub-prime loans - just prime stuff that is now hard to sell (illiquid) but mostly still good paper.

Somehow the bad stuff must be paid for by taxpayers, not banks.
