I developed my spelling habits in college. My soils professor lowered one's letter grade one letter for every misspelled word in papers that we submitted. I never got less than a B, and had no misspelled words in any papers I submitted to him.

I guess it's pretty hard to misspell 'dirt,' huh!

Oh yeah? Try this: krumholz podzol The SI spelling checker doesn't even have it, nor does the Merriam Webster online dictionary.

Peter, You got it! And I shall never waiver from that strongly held opinion. Would that others would take the importance of clear communication to heart.
