"Besides that, these guys make a lot more than the minimum wage so I doubt the claim that these are the alleged *jobs Americans won't do" I had my roof done a year ago. Biggest complaint was prices hadn't increased in five years (in my area) by contractors. They are unable to pass on labor increases because so many firms are hiring Hispanic labor at cheaper rates. This is terrific for consumer but is killing the laborer. Most get roofing jobs and make a good living , because most consumers do not shop around. If they did they would find wide variations in charges yet they all use the same materials.
