imo there is no issue with the 200k write cycles (for powerdown) - an issue might be the external cap in the uF-range afaik.
furtheron there might be an argumtation-chain that TI claims that sram (in embedded systems) is more expensive than fram - when I take a look at SONOS I would assume that this dosn't make the nvsram-cells "cheaper" than sram - I would go in the opposite direction - so I would "bet" that fram should be "cheaper" (in production) than nvsram ...
