If I look at the dancer from above her looking down towards her head she is going clockwise. If i look up at the dancer from below looking at her feet she is going counter clockwise.

Pretty similar. I mainly see clockwise, but can see some counter-clockwise by looking from below the screen. [right-handed with some left-handed tendencies]

Now when we say clockwise I assume we mean picturing the dancer from above, or equivalently that there is a clock under her feet. Something that is clockwise from one direction is counter-clockwise viewed from the opposite direction, but that's not what we're talking about here.

In closing I present my handy household mnemonic, which works for most jars, taps, etc.:

"Clockwise to Close" [when viewed from above]
