Steve neglected to mention that MUCH of the world expects the US to act in their stead if there are problems in the world....they spend everything on social costs, while we maintain a Military to defend the US as well as much of the world....to say nothing about supplying troops, medical needs, food, and assisting making sea water into fresh water for thousands of people with our ships during a disaster like the Indonesian tsunami...

Steve: "How can you say that if we spend as much as the rest of the world combined that our military is weak? "

unclewest;

If our military is strong, list their accomplishments in the last 6 years of war?

You mean you think we take on a piss ant broken country like Iraq with the biggest and mightiest military the world has ever seen and we haven't accomplished anything?

Exactly!! Boy do you make the case for my point.

Steve
