"Spin control for the dems?" No. The reality is that we should have been doing our best to reign in the Kurdish rebels. Northern Iraq is on track to become an independent Kurdistan. Which neither Turkey nor Iran is interesting in seeing happen. Since the Kurds have our tacit approval to do do it, it is important we make it as palatable as possible for them. We haven't done that. We don't even pretend to do it. What is amusing here is that we have the biggest example of Muslims, albeit non-Arab Muslims, slaughtering Christians and dispersing the survivors, ethnic cleansing on a massive scale, and we shouldn't mention it at all. Here is a case where Islamofascists actually existed, but no one should talk about it. Why? Well, it isn't politically convenient.
