Look behind the words themselves. Look at how much the oh-so-enlightened liberals on this thread gloat when a conservative turns out to be a closeted gay man.

The tone is a lot more derisive than, for example, when they catch a conservative being anything but fiscally conservative. Heck, it's even more derisive than the time they were harping on William Bennett for being a gamble-holic.

I claim that this is the liberal man's way of acting out their own homophobia without "violating" their tolerance for (liberal) gay men. When a conservative turns out to be gay, it's open season.
