If I may koan, two comments,

1) I can see the neo-liberal tag being confusing, but of course Ms. Klein was referring to liberalizing trade as in no barriers, unions etc...total free market..

2) In the second part of your discourse exactly how did one determine a liberal student from a conservative.. Sounds a little like the tail wagging the dog. I know in my case, depending upon the subject I could fall into either category.. The article might be perfect of example of your point about the two camps in the US..

I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation also.
