Very nice, Jochen.

Being an amateur astronomer, I've seen worse appear in Sky & Telescope which is the magazine for the profession as well as amateurs.

Very nice, JJ. While you have your sights set on the heavens, I'm shooting more mundane subjects. I used a single flash off-camera for this capture.

The key light was my sb800 at 1/4 power, shot through a white umbrella from frame left. I took advantage of the high ambient in an open shade area for fill. Manual settings of 1/250s f/4.5 iso100 let me underexpose the background by a stop. The Cream Machine (85mm f/1.4 Nikkor) did the artistic part of the job.

The model is a member of my gym who the trainers picked for a success story article. The trainer writes the words, I take the pictures, and then I combine both onto an 8.5x11 sheet of photo paper. Here's an example of a completed project from a few months ago.
