As you may have gathered from several of my posts on S.I., my own Investment Strategy is based, to a very large extent, on what I see in several critical areas of a company's financial statements. If a company is currently performing very well, and providing exceptional value for its shareholders, this will, and must, be reflected in those statements. It can't really be otherwise. In UGTH 's case we have a situation which is often similar with many other companies .... there is possible, or probable, potential for a company to make profits due to a great product, great service, resources (as with UGTH ) etc.. etc.. BUT ... as things stand, it is not a given. Any of those companies still have to translate those apparent "assets" into adequate Bottom Line profits due to their adequate Business Plans, quality of Management, Resource Price (if relevant), etc ... etc... Also, in the case of a company that is reliant on a Resource, however good its Management and Plans may be, its financial performance is still very reliant on the market price of that Resource, over which it generally has no control. So when I look at UGTH I see a company that has been listed for over 11 years, and which has only spent money and hasn't earned anything. Now maybe that will all change for the reasons you have put forward. On the other hand, maybe it won't. One can only really Speculate, which is usually accompanied by Risk. And, personally, I prefer to reduce that aspect as much as possible. From my own experience, Risk is very much reduced when one sees the right numbers, in the right places, in a company's Financial Statements. If I had to choose, I would also have chosen ORA WELL AHEAD of UGTH . Apart from the size of its debt expense on its Income Statement, the rest of its Fundamentals look quite good to me, and I suggest that this is reflected in its price chart. Best wishes with your investments, "going forward" !
