--No, he didn't make the recommendation after the fact. I'm pretty sure it was in 1996 or '97. But Microsoft had already gone up a lot, and people were calling wondering what to do.

kirk responded:

<<Well, given the newsletter in 1993 said to limit ALL individual stocks to no more than 4%, you would need a time warp to believe he didn't say this after the fact.... MANY YEARS after the fact...>>

--LOL! Yes, he said it AFTER 1993. But he said it LONG, LONG before Microsoft had stopped zooming upward!

<<I read he also told a caller he recommended Gold for 4 or 5% of a portfolio.>>

--I don't think that is what he told the caller. I think he said something like, "it's ok to hold a little gold if you want it for a hedge against inflation or something, but I don't think inflation is a problem."

<< I've never seen a recommendation for Gold in his newsletter. Maybe he likes to talk about what he "wishes" he recommended and you misunderstood?>>

--I didn't misunderstand. Ask your partner.

<<Your recollection of "facts" is unreliable. A few weeks ago you falsely reported something that was not true about Brinker's performance record since 1991.>>

--No I didn't. What happened was, you just said I was wrong, and didn't supply any evidence at all.
