I always enjoy Kunstler. The man is certainly fixated, but he always makes an interesting and colorful read.

An oil crisis (touched off by any of a myriad of events) won't be pretty for the housing market. Our settlement patterns are built on the premise of cheap and plentiful oil.

Wow. A whole convention center filled with smug, elitist, holier-than-thou cynics all predicting the imminent end of the world, as they have for years now. I'm surprised the place was large enough to accomodate all of those egos wringing their hands. Kunstler may have have actually enjoyed himself for a moment or two.

What an assh*le.
