<$800 by December 31st would be very welcome.>

Exactly...
One can only imagine the amount of gold that will come to market at a 4 figure gold price.

NLW's love the fear factor.. It sells well.

I've learned to play the gold cards as they are dealt. Getting over excited about a huge payday in gold has, in the past, clouded my perspective and caused me to miss other great opportunities at hand.

Gold is like any other trading/investment vehicle, except the fact that is has a emotional premium attached to it that needs to be managed..imho.

Should gold get to big 4 figures, I suspect there will be additional challenges goldbugs will face when it comes to cashing in and/or realizing true gains w/ this investment.

Iow's: When(if) the 'stuff' hits the fan and gold goes to the moon, things will not be good.

ZM

CD:

<<Well, let's walk before we run, LOL. $800 by December 31st would be very welcome.>>

Indeed! Just to put the NLWs' POG predictions into perspective, I posted a lengthy summary of their comments from the TRIC on another thread...

BTW, some of my own favourite companies from the show...

Condor (CN) -- Great exploration play in Chile, Argentina and Peru, run by an excellent team of geologists. Some exciting discoveries about to be drilled.

Equinox (EQN) -- Massive new copper mine in Zambia coming on stream in 2008. Also has warrants with about 2:1 leverage (which I bought -- EQN.WT) I've sold half my Anvil to pay for these, figuring that I reduce the country risk a bit by splitting between the DRC and Zambia.

Strait Gold (SRD) -- Another very promising exploration play in Latin America, with low market cap. Drilling at the moment.

Halo (HLO) -- A great story IMO. Just "migrating" from being seen as a potential small gold producer to becoming a possible major polymetalic play. Run by excellent people (Geo and Mining Engineer). This one has massive potential IMO.

As always, everyone should do their own DD. I of course already have positions in these! :^)

Best regards,
Howy
