Just saw one of the fires on the way home from work. Very surreal. It's right there where I usually see the Saddleback mountain range. Just seven miles from where I live and right next to Saddleback Church where I've attended a few services. I drove up to the fire with my wife and stopped by the church, where a mobile fire command was set up. The firefighters there seem to be in good spirits. I asked if they needed anything, and the guy I was talking to said they have everything they need, including pizza and In-N-Out. People have been so generous, he was worried he might end up gaining weight after all of this is over. I tried to take some photos of the fire, but my cell phone camera didn't get very good shots. I might go back later with my Canon digital SLR, but we'll see. This is quite something. Tenchusatsu
