recommendation: hold platinum

Waiting (hoping) for the Empire to Strike Back... before I buy back in... certainly Platinum has it's uses and with GWB (and very likely any of the candidates who follow his term in office..) the run on the dollar (albeit a rather slow run..)
will not stop. Oil and base metals have had an even greater run in the past 6 years, we are in a once in a generation bull market for commodities combined with a fade of the west. I am trying to determine which asset class will rise the most in the next 5 years.

Iran: political bonanza from increased tensions between Turkey and the U.S. sparked by Kurdish guerrilla attacks on Turkish forces near the border with Iraq.

realizing the lack of U.S. action is creating a massive amount of anger against the U.S. in Turkey

also damage Iraq's struggling civilian economy by interfering with commercial traffic.

With the HKD tied to USD, is this a clearing issue OR and expectation of de-linking of HKD / USD ?

>>>"shenhua coal export starting now is denominated in euro, yen and hkd

no more acceptance of usd because (i) it is usd, and (ii) its clearing happens within the empire"<<<

What if the clearing is a 'red herring' to hide the expectation of a delinking or upward valuaation of HKD in the near future ?

Can you see the HKD being moved up 4% to "cool off the overheated real estate market " ?
