Iran is very skillful at playing both sides of the street. In many ways they emulate the chicoms back in the 60s and 70s. They are certainly not as bad as al queda but they do have blood on their hands. The bigger point is that the US cant figure out how to deal with these guys for maximum benefit to US interests. I missed the show. Did they address that?

<Also worth talking about was the fax sent right after the fall of Baghdad from Khatami offering help with the post-Saddam mess that we are now buried in.>

>>" Very interesting to find out about our support for the MEK.... "<<

Yeah, listening to Nicholas Burns, State Dept spinmeister, re our support for the MEK in Iraq that Iran considers "terrorists" after Armitage had already said that the MEK was on our terrorist list after they had targeted and killed Americans and then I recall Burns on Charlie Rose a couple of weeks ago telling us how bad Iran was because they were supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan. This accusation after we know that Iran helped us with the Northern Alliance overthrow of the Sunni Taliban after 9/11.

There is a large load of something being thrown around out there. And Bolton and Gerecht say we should attack the Iranians and they have not got a clue about what will happen after that but they are all so "certain" about what will happen if we don't. Clearly Iraq taught these people nothing.

Incredible what a mess the Supremes 5-4 political decision has got this country in letting the neocon crowd anywhere near the levers of power of our country.
