My opinion is that the stock market is a hedge against currency fluctuations. I doubt whether you can say the same for MM funds regardless of interest rates. See the quotations in this posting of mine:

I believe that the value of a business doesn't weaken just because the country's currency weakens. Indeed a weak currency is good for country's businesses as it gives them a competitive edge.

Of course, if business conditions are bad in the country, stocks could suffer in spite of the benefits of a weaker currency. But the optimist in me says business is good here even though there may be a currency crisis.
