CBO: Two Wars Cost $2.4 Trillion Dollars

Thursday, October 25, 2007 - FreeMarketNews.com

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could cost as much as $2.4 trillion through the next decade, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday. The White House brushed off the analysis as "speculation."

Of course, this is the same administration that brushed aside pre-Iraq invasion estimates that were as low as $200B or $300B, and warnings from Generals like Shinseki and Zinni about the quagmire that we are in now.

Well, $2.4 trillion is no big deal. Invade Zimbabwe, steal Mugabe's printing presses and start printing dollars! Problem solved!
