Hi Jake, I am okay HOWEVER....I know several people directly affected by the fires. Two of my employees have stayed at my house on the coast because they were not allowed to go home. One lives in an apartment and that is okay. My other employee, she just found out her parents house is okay however some of the other homes in the neighbourhood are gone. Here on the coast, we have ALOT of ash and it has smelled like burning wood the past few days. It is dark and eerie and I have 100's of photos I have taken that are so unique due to the atmoshere. I have a friend and her husband who not only lost their house in Rancho Bernardo which was easily worth over one million, they also have severe damage to their restaurant they own there. My best friend from high school has a place in Malibu and I talked to her yesterday and she is safe however there is smoke damage to her place and she will not be able to go back home for a few days. Otherwise.....life goes on. Jane
