To top it all off the draconian conservative Alberta gov't has had the audacity to limit SU production at Firebag for pollution:

Suncor cut its oilsands production target for the year and raised cost estimates because of shutdowns and limits on emissions. Alberta regulators capped production from Suncor's Firebag deposit at 42,000 barrels of bitumen a day until it can reduce emissions, the company said.

How are they going to cope with all this regulation, royalty adjustment, slovenly overpaid workforce, and overall uncertainty?

Suncor's cash flow, a closely watched indicator of its ability to pay for new projects, fell to about $1.03 billion, from $1.15 billion in the third quarter of 2006.
