The really ironic thing about the bin Laden tape is that self-criticism and admitting mistakes is in critically short supply in the Arab world, and I would really like to praise bin Laden for having the wherewithal to do it openly...but somehow I just can't.

The really ironic thing is bringing this up during the reign of the never mistaken war president. You just got to believe. Of course, even W has admitted to some mistakes, at least in the context of the "bring 'em on" bluster. Not the most substantial admission, but I think it puts him one up on you, anyway.
