Bart, it wouldn't be a stretch to say your green line with real inflation if it was adjusted for changes in the dollar since 2000 would take real household net worth back to what it was during the Carter administration. Of course taking the graph in dollar terms back that far would be a wash to your overall change in household net worth but it shows just how far behind American's have fallen this decade after the incredible gains of the 1990's..
