and hinton is a moderate on this thread regarding these issues. Can you imagine? Israel and the US represent colonialism and imperialism to much of the american left or at least those who dont have ties to israel thru religion, nationality or belief in advancing democracy. Thus they fall for the left wing stalinist line that the pals and arabs have created out of thin air. If you say it enough folks believe it. Nothing the US can do is right. Same for Israel.

Israel and the arab states share responcibility for causing and perpetuating the problem........

Israel has the most to gain from a resolution.

Yes the pals have been pig headed....but israel should not turn its back and wash its hands of resolving the matter .

Bottom line ,the palastinian refugees are a byproduct of the birth of israel and israels security needs(west bank).

The refugees are also the greatest threat to israeli security.

Israel is now strong and rich.

Israel is the local power of the region.....for now.

Israel should use this moment in time to push for peace ........

If and when another player gets the bomb or some other military advantage israels options will become more limited.

Take away the palastinian problem and you take away alot of the motive .

Exterminate them or intergrate them.

To leave them is only asking for bigger problems in the future.
