i promise, from this point on, to only accumulate paper and physical gold, and not sell paper gold, until and unless i use the proceeds to buy physical gold or real estate

i no longer wish paper gold to go below 700

i just pray i can get my paper gold back at HKD 7000/tael

what have i done

comment from very astute and plugged in and switched on cyber pal who does not like to use capital letters, on recent gold action ...

"yep - the 'reliable signal' from the CoT report has failed to work. what does it mean? there must be a big gold buyer somewhere who doesn't care about price. as you said earlier, maybe one of those big dollar holders is getting nervous and wants to hedge?
note though that when sugar made its blow-of top a while ago, the situation was similar. the spec net long position had become very large and it kept going higher. however, that was then followed by a huge correction, almost 50%."

BTW, I simulated a 50% correction of gold on my portfolio, and yes, it will be painful, disturbing, nerve wrecking, but not fatal, and the shock/awe would not prevent me from adding to gold, physical, paper, share and deal in puts and calls on same, because I have yen :0)
