Who said anything about wanting socialized medicine?

A lot of people, Mary, people on this thread and prominent spokespersons favor a Federal, taxpayer-funded, universal health care program, aka socialized medicine. That there are a so many uninsured seems to be sufficient justification to them because they interpret that as meaning that there are 47 million suffering and hopeless people without access to health care, which, of course, would be a very sad problem.

You knew and still called it hyperbole?

Of course it's hyperbole. Either that or very lax thinking. Or some of each.
