But if you really want to lower costs you are going to have to do what every other industrialized country does to such good effect.

Sure, controlling supply and prices as done elsewhere would be effective in lowering costs.

But I'd rather see the bureaucratic mess synthesized and simplified, reduction of demand (defensive doctoring), and new insurance products tried first to see how much of a dent that can make.
