Overbuilt.

It would be difficult to argue that the herd of bulls did not run blindly off the cliff last generation build cycle.

I know of some plants that are just now earning enough in PJM to offer some hope for a return on equity. This after being commercial for 5 years.

So overbuilt yes if you expected a decent ROE over the last 5 years. Overbuilt no, if you look at the next 5-10 years.

Either way these GW religious fanatics and the ignorant public are leading us into a deep black hole that will be very difficult to extricate ourselves from.

Imagine a season in the not to distant future with a well placed hurricane in the GOM, a hot Summer and a cold Winter.

Calpine Shareholders May Be Wiped Out by Creditors

Dec. 4 (Bloomberg) -- A federal judge may award nothing to shareholders of Calpine Corp., including the California Public Employees' Retirement System, in their struggle with Hess Corp. and other creditors who are owed at least $20.7 billion.
