By that, I suppose you mean a previously saved spreadsheet. I could see how that could be handy, but it seems that it ties the spreadsheets to the computer they're sitting on. I don't think it's possible in Numbers.

What is possible is to have multiple spreadsheets in the same file and reference between them. Here's a print screen of one of the templates in the program that does just that.
