Toyotas are good cars, although very recent articles I've read said quality is slipping. Also, you might want to check out some recent road tests and long term tests on the Camry Hybrid. They pretty much agree that the drivetrain has some strange transitions as the switch from gas to electric is made, rubber banding and such while driving. Motor Trend and Car and Driver are the mags I've read tests in.

PS - It's interesting, some top Toyota and Lexus execs have recently jumped over to Ford, not something one might expect...
