Didn't they already do that last week?
I've never seen so many days before, during, and after attributed to rate cuts. The worst part is, this is the one time when rate cuts are not going to do much to help, so there should be the least amount of bullishness surrounding them. Wasn't this the same Fed that 5-6 weeks ago was saying no contagion. That uncertainty/stupidity alone should give pause to investors as to whether the Fed has any clue how to fix the problem.
