You got that right. There is no need of the Fed meeting, or
the Fed. We'd be much better off without this corrupt
institution. That said, Fed funds futures are predicting
at least a 25 bp. cut. I tend to agree, the biggest surprise
I see is if they don't cut, yet given the actions of
Bernanke Fed so far, 50 bp. won't surprise me at all.
The dollar may see a bounce on no cut.
Nothing drastic though, as that bounce will get sold quickly.
If they cut more than 25, say hello to the run on the
dollar. We are likely to see that soon regardless of their
actions, as their credibility got flushed down the toilet
with the 50 bp. surprise cut in September. The World has
seen what they are about, and is now selling all USD assets.
They are happy to sell the treasuries as well at these artificially
maintained high prices. Back to GS and JPM they go.
