I'll take "not in the next 3 months". In the spirit of the thread I predict that the crashing home prices will cut back on consumer spending and energy waste so much that there will soon be an oil glut. The prices will tank and the speculators will be crushed.

When my brother in law was visiting a few weeks ago I spent a lot of time turning off lights the kids left on. It was amazing to see how wasteful his family is. At the end he started complaining about how his utility bills were so high and how he needed to find a way to bring them down. Talk about clueless! His family wastes about $30/month in excess lighting alone. They don't even use flourescent bulbs!

I have learned my lesson. I kept my mouth shut. You just can't help some people.

China lets its yuan creep higher against dollar

The yuan climbed about 0.3%, with the dollar finishing at a new low of 7.4745 on the over-the-counter market, after the central People's Bank of China set the central parity rate at record levels for five consecutive trading days, XFN reported, citing a Guangzhou-based trader with a foreign bank.

This year, Browne said, the yuan has risen 4.4% against the dollar, compared with just. 2.2% over the same period in 2006.
