mer.nyse - 'Too Big To Fail', or 'Too Failed To Be Big Anymore'? ... hi 49r, the one per cent p&f says bpo(rev) 61.26 so stockcharts.com doesn't have them croaking quite yet - stockcharts.com[PA][D][F1!3!1.0!!4!20]&pref=G

The beauty of the US system is supposed to be that each entity is responsible for its own actions, if you make money you get to decide how to spend most of it, if you screw up badly enough you go broke, and that's that ... then came the PPT, 'president's working girls on financial markets' or something they call it, now things are different, so i dunno ... one point that jackjc made was the whole derivative thing is a wash really, what's going to happen mostly is that counterparties fail, the great majority of us will remain unaffected except for massive volatility in markets for a bit ... then, if there's any sense left in our species, there will be less general faith in paper, and presumably, eventually, if only by default, more faith in real assets? ... well we are lucky to be around to see it anyway, whatever comes, could have easily been hit by a bus on the way here, eh
