Nuclear proliferation:

As a trader and poker player I do not like the odds. Think about it, no one can ever use them. When one gets into dogmatic cultures where they cannto adjust decisions someone will screw up eventually.

Pakistan and India almost did it a few years ago. And when people want to get to heaven more than stay here, they really become dangerous.

I see no way we make it through this century without a nuclear war of some type. Humans are still acting to crazy-lol.

It is the reason I treat my kids as much as I do. I want them to enjoy life now as much as possible.

Don't get me wrong, I do not think we should bomb Iran under any circumstances. That would be pure madness.

Gold straight up, dollar straight down and oil over $95. Why? Because the world has had enough of the US debt and is scared to death of the US. As they should be.

I just do not think the human species is evolving fast enough culturally and intellectually to keep pace with the dangers of technology. We are all too crazy for any of us to have nuclear weapons and the only possiblity at all for a worldwide disarmament is a UN, but people are too parochial for that.

e.g. quantum computers will be able to break any non quantum encrytion.

I am pretty negative about our chances. A great movie is 13 days about Cuban missle crises. Made from the transcripts. Had the generals been in charge we probably would have a nuclear war!
