Winston -

Apple IS doing that. They announced on their Q4 conference call that they were going to be opening their first store in China.

Nokia Flagship Store, NYC

coolhunting.com

I'm not getting a great impression from the photos, and might look different in person. Best as I can gather, the current Nokia Flagship Stores are in New York, Chicago, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Helsinki, Moscow, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City. I gathered these cities from a quick search of Google. Seems there are 8 names, so some may be planned stores while there may be a couple open stores missing from the list. If I had to guess, cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Munich, London, Honolulu, Seoul, Singapore, Rome, etc. should be among some of the rest).

I don't see San Francisco/San Jose yet among the Nokia plans. It wouldn't surprise me if Apple has stores in every city Nokia is present as they're fighting for the same types of customers. When do you think an Apple Store will open in Helsinki?
