dubai is a chimera..representative of modern day financial chicanery. recetnly south asian workers, who saw their meagre wages tumble even more due to - lo and behold - dollar plunge as currency there is also tied to USD, launched a strike that threatens the construction industry.. huge water shortage..not a whole lot of wealthy resident population who can afford those ultra expensive towers a la miami , and we have a disaster waiting to happen in Doobai.
