The titanic struggle between 'Stuff' [The Three Golds, metals and agricultural commodities] and 'Paper' [financial legerdemain, credit, etc.] goes on unabated. Paper won a round yesterday but Stuff is kicking b** today.

My money is on Stuff. You can use it, eat it, store value in it, etc. Paper burns, gets wet, falls apart, is in and out of fashion. Stuff is forever or useful.

On the sidelines are Toys, ie., high tech, chips, CDMA, all the stuff Mq loves. Land is presently out of commission, having received a devastating uppercut courtesy of Paper.

That's it, all that matters economically are Stuff, Paper, Toys and Land.
