It is so funny..........

I noticed yesterday while searching around on line that Discovery was near Philipsburg. A friend told us about Philipsburg10 years ago and raved about the fishing. So.............we hooked up Dusty and went there to check it out. (That is the year we went into the Selway for a week) The mosquitos in the Philipsburg area were so thick I ended up sitting in the car or staying in Dusty most of the time. But hubby had a great time. He didn't land any fish, but saw a couple of huge Browns. Can't remember the name of the river he fished?

Philipsburg was a really neat cowboy town. They have renovated most of the old brick buildings and if my memory serves me, they still had wooden boardwalks. The Saloon was great too. It was just one of those quintessential old west type towns.

I'm sure if you lived up higher in the mts you wouldn't have the mosquito problem. We were in the lowlands and they were awful.
