Some domain providers such as networksolutions.com sell domain names and can sell you server services as well.

Other like tucows.com work wholesale and rely on separate hosting companies such as lunarpages.com to sell them domain names to register.

Which one you choose depends on your needs and budget.

Prices, features, ease of use, reliability, support can vary a great deal.

You can register your domain name and then get server services elsewhere possibly at a later date.

I would guess most people find the cheapest possible domain name company. They are pretty cheap.

Then find a reliable company that provides server space and services. You probably don't need much. Allen provides that service I believe.

I would tend to trust him. But I would keep an eye on him.

I use dreamweaver just out of habit. It's about $100 a year for virtually unlimited email addresses plus more server space than I'll ever use.

I would suggest you keep your domian name forever.
