I had a ponytail then, black hair, high cheek bones, square chin and after 45 days on a motorcycle a dark tan. Maybe they thought I was a Eastern Brother.

But I know what you mean, On that same trip I was working on my bike, had a short, in a bar parking lot. Two indians came up and help, we had a joint together, after we finished I said come in the bar I'll buy the beers. They said they weren't allowed in there, unless I wanted a major knife fight. So I went in and got a 6 pack and we drank outside.
It was in either Southern Oregon or Northern Cali.
