OK, so AMD may do both. But when ? In their first 45 nm implementation ? supposedly in mid-08 ? Or in a second phase in '09 ? Intel announced working 45 nm processors, booting multiple OS's, in January. Then first production in November (10 months later). They must have been productionizing the process for a couple of years. I don't see how AMD can abbreviate this development time. Especially since their process provider (IBM) can't even produce any volume at 65 nm yet. And all they have in 45 nm HK-MG is a paper.
