Kind of makes our gov't programs encouraging increased use of oil (subsidize larger and larger homes, tax breaks for hummers, more highways, etc.) seem just a tad foolish in retrospect.

And also makes it more obvious why we are in Iraq.

Imagine for a second if we had spent 200trillion USD into research into battery technology, thin film solar, or synthetic biofuels, instead of playing out a rescue and plunder fantasy in Iraq?
