Israel has three main water sources, the coastal aquifer, the mountain aquifer and Lake Kinneret. Yes, water is a scarce resource all over the mideast, but while you're mentioning, could you mention that Israel is supplying about 4 million cubic meters per year of water to Gaza? about 5% of their total usage.

Fine, I agree. However, Gaza is not unviable as a separate independent nation due to water rights, right? That is not the main obstacle that prevents Gaza from becoming a normal, independent nation made up of some of the people allegedly displaced when Israel came into being, right?

I say "allegedly" because the wikepedia entry on Gaza said almost all of its residents are these displaced people. Wasn't anybody there prior to Israel's creation?
