LIG: There was a time when the "Einsteins" of the world came to America and stayed here -- and wow, what they did for us was truly amazing! Now the "Einsteins" of the world if they come here at all, often find better opportunities "back home" -- so they are more inclined to view the market for talent as a global market. There are remarkably smart people all over the world -- and there are remarkable opportunities all over the world. Where the US once assumed it would always dominate the game has changed. We can still do well -- but we cannot assume we will do well unless we work much harder on attracting and educating the best in the world and keeping them as often as we can to help build a better future. In this effort we are falling short. On this effort rests our future -- not on fighting "Islamo-fascists" and other such non-sense.
