I find a fairly high failure rate in newish after-market stuff. BEnQ I was always a tad leery about. Specially Short Circuit City. They used to have rock solid printers and peripherals. Don't know about today. Had a hardware bug HP from Future Scrap. Acer Laptop is still smokin'. I mean by that working. Slow as lead snail, but it's always there.

All my 4 year old 1 gige servers running linux won't quit.

Newer monitors are ultro cheapo and won't last the same as the oldish HP commercial ones. HP had, and probably still has three grades of monitors. Bargain, pro, and 'commercial' (server/archtitect/graphics biz?) quality. High end stuff is a shekel or two.

These look relatively cheapo mundo for HP.
