Hi Kevyn - Many of the value investors here hold positions in shipping companies as they typically traded with a low PE and paid good relative dividends. Since the CRB index has traded much higher, the bulk shippers have had a good run.
Check out this site investmenttools.com and look at the chart for the Baltic Exchange Dry Index (BDI)& CRB Index.

Jimmy Rogers is very bullish on commodities. He said everybody should be invested in commodities including wheat, iron ore, coal, oil... because China's growth is sustainable for a long long time to come.

As long as China's demand continues, I believe the bulk shippers should do quite well and will generate huge free flow cash flows.
