Regardless of whether there is a sexual component to their relationship, I'd say that since she is Hillary's constant companion she's quite likely to be influential on matters dealing with the ME and Muslim nations (which involve serious matters like terrorism, war, nuclear proliferation, energy security) and given her background - growing up in Saudi Arabia, being a "conservative Muslim", and living beyond her apparent means - she needs more attention and voters deserve to know about her.
