The best line on tv yesterday. A contestant on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" won $500,000 and Meredith Viera asked her what she was going to do with the money.

"I have a 1992 car that is in bad shape. I live in Florida, and just before I came up here (to New York), the air conditioning went out on it. Now that I have all this money, I plan to trade up. Perhaps to a 1993 car." <G>

KT,

I know you aren't a libertarian, but we are similar in that neither of us supports one of the major parties (at least supposedly on your part).

I do listen to all the mainstream democrats in power and have been for at least 20 years. Most of them scare the shit out me because of their economic ideas. I agree with them in large part on social issues, but think in their efforts to keep God out of the equation when appropriate, their neutrality and/or moral relativism practically comes down in support of values and life choices that hurt people and the country.

They don't scare me nearly as much as the more radical left does though.

I don't worry about the radical right much at all. Most of them are hiding in bunkers waiting for the day the radical left takes over the country, tries to take all their guns, socializes the economy, eliminates God, burns the American flag in favor of a new World flag, dismantles most of the military, and tries to turn them into homosexuals. ;-)
